A lot of ponies never would have considered mild, gentle Thorax to be the sort of creature who'd enjoy swallowing a pony whole. It would've been absolutely beyond their more fanciful imaginations to picture him swallowing a pony, then actively digesting them. And the thought of the changedling leader using his emotion-eating powers to trap said pony's soul, consuming and digesting it too so that literally no part of poor Rune Chisel remains as anything more than some fat on Thorax's flanks? Ensuring the pony simply...ceases to exist altogether?

And yet, here we are.
