Sakura and Hinata arrive on the battlefield to take up the fight against Marunomi and give Temari a chance to recover. While Hinata distracts Marunomi, Sakura manages to sneak up on her and deliver a powerful blow that utterly destroys the Behemoth's Tongue. Seemingly victorious, the two regroup with Temari. Frustrated by the loss of the device, Marunomi nevertheless proves she has more tricks at her disposal as she stretches out her tongue, launching it at the three kunoichi.
