I gottsa questiom
Hank says that he had to eat her to protect her from another carnivore and eating her would raise the least amount of suspicion
But isnt predation like, an extremely serious crime?

It is in the Beastars world. However, during a blackout is when most predators would strike since most prey animals don’t have nocturnal vision. Being a tiger, Hank has nocturnal vision unlike Lexi.
