I love that this story is almost completely "normal", banal even. A bit risque in having ti be a lesbian pairing, but over all it's something even the most mundane folks could be more or less comfortable with.

Except for the food.

Attention is drawn to it of course, but it feels so natural. I do adore that sort of juxtaposition. Take something clearly impossible and of such heavy consequence IRL and make it something almost informal. Lovely. <3<3<3
