So this is a bit of an interesting situation. Lari picked up a job to steal from the company Gestech, but she got careless and tripped an alarm while trying to sneak out. When they caught her, though, they offered her a deal: help them with an experiment, and they drop the charges. Sounded like a quick deal, so Lari agreed.
A few hours later, the feline was deep inside of Crescent, a lupine associate of Gestech that happened to be in that day. They'd had the wolf regress Lari's body to a single ovum, but her soul was left untouched and bound to the cell. Now she's floating gently around in a sea of Crescent's other eggs, buried deep within one of her ovaries. She wasn't alone, either; as she's bobbed through the chamber she occasionally picks out other ovum-bound souls. A few foxes, a lot of gnolls for some reason, and she even swore she saw a dragon or two.
The task given to her had been simple: while in her ovum, manipulate the cell to maneuver her way back out the way she'd come in. Then Crescent would reform her, Gestech would ask a few questions about how it went, and she'd be on her way. But the more Lari tried to influence her cell, the more impossible the task seemed. She could barely change her direction at all, and even if she could steer it properly she had no idea which way she needed to go to get back out anymore. And with how many other ova there were around her, with a surprisingly large number containing souls like herself, she started to think the may never get back out.
"Oh, terrific, terrific," she thought. "This wasn't a generous deal, this was me skipping the trial and jumping straight to the prison sentence!" She growled and punched the membranous wall in frustration. The force of her astral fist hitting the wall sent a tiny shockwave through her cell that caused it to gyrate vaguely towards the direction her punch had been going. "Ahh, I just don't see this working. And with how many others there are in here, who knows if she'll even remember I'm in here? She could just move on with her life, forget I even exist. I could be trapped this ovary forever." She sighed, dejected. "I guess it's on me though, really. Never trust a scientist when they start treating you like a person-shaped test subject."
The thief reclined her ghostly, amber form against the wall, resting a hand on her cell's nucleus. "Well, guess if I'm gonna be here for a while, I might as well try and relax a bit." She began looking around to the other occupied ova. Aside from the gnolls, who generally looked more irritated for some reason, they all seemed to be at peace. Happy, even. Lari turned over, taking the nucleus into both hands, hugging it gently to her chest for comfort. "I guess it is pretty peaceful here," she decided. There was no danger here. No needs. No conflicts. Just a safe, deep void filled with luminous souls and highly muffled sounds of the wolf's body. Crescent was her warden, and her jail, but she was also her protector, and maybe, eventually (though only by technicality) even a mother. This might not be what she'd initially planned when she broke into Gestech, but Crescent was keeping her safe, and that felt comforting.
If souls could sleep, Lari suspected she'd be starting to doze off right about now. "Wait. can souls sleep?" She wondered. She looked down at the nucleus in her hands. "Well, guess there's one way to find out." she shifted the white ball under her head, laying against it as if it were a pillow.
"Yeah. If I have to be trapped anywhere for a while, I guess this really isn't so bad."

So, this is actually what inspired me to give Lari the ability to do this to her own unbirthed prey! I was really intrigued by this concept when Lupamcrescent (https://www.furaffinity.net/user/lupamcrescent/) posted their first pictures about it on FA, so when they offered it as an infinite-YCH I decided to volunteer my thief girl for some time in Crescent's collection.

Short term, love how this is drawn. Especially if hypothetically, that 'YCH' could be expanded, to show 'blurred' sketches, of other trapped victims.
