Not sure what this is? Here's a post explaining the series!: https://aryion.com/g4/view/712411
____________
Our first real battle! And we... kinda took a beating just from the two wisps haha! Most suggestions that specified wanted us to switch to using fire magic, but since there's an in universe advantage to using ice you wouldn't have known about and we nearly crit on the knowledge check I rolled to see if Adrea knew about it I chose to disregard that and have her use ice ^^;

We've now got the thief tied up, what should we ask her/do with her? (Also again for ease of reference, even though it hasn't been stated in the story yet the thief's name is Veela)

You can find Adrea’s character sheet here!: https://aryion.com/g4/view/712418

Remember, you can ask any questions about the world (that are relevant to the current chapter) if you think you want/need more information about something! I'll do a 'live' intelligence check before answering if it's something Adrea might know.

| CLOSED - There's either a more recent entry available to read or I've already outlined the next chapter! |

We're going to ask what exactly she was trying to do with the items she stole. And we should try to dispell any magical effects she might have on her, both positive and negative. I mean, I'm ain't about to let her power up right here and there.

Ask her why she is here and what she was doing. If the answers paint her in a bad light offer her to your wolfish friend as a romantic dinner~

I think we should def do a perception check on Veela, make sure there's no tricks up her sleeve. Then we should ask her the basics; Who (and what) are you, what do you want, and are you alone.

BUT, we should also do a good cop, bad cop (or whatever the equivalent would be in this world) while interrogating her. We already offered to talk once, maybe that will help convince Veela to talk if we act nice. If not, Bally seems to be angry enough to be a convincing bad cop!

This was great! I didn't realise just how much of a threat those wisps were, we're pretty beaten up.

Pretty much what TrashMammal said. Give her another once over, with a check to see what kind of magical effects might be on her and dispel them if we can.

Once that's done, let's ask her who/what she is, why she's here & stealing from Bally, what she was trying to do with the herbs & if she's alone. Love the good cop, bad cop idea too. We should play good cop, and let Bally play bad cop, maybe threaten her with a trip down Bally's gullet if she doesn't co-operate.

I don't think we should commit to offering her up to Bally to eat once we're done just yet, but let's keep that in mind as an option as we're listening to her answers.

Agree with what's been said, want to add that if our 'nice cop' routine seems like its working really well, Adrea should be cautious to take what Veela says at face value. Keep in mind that our offer of diplomacy earlier wasn't even considered and was answered with an attack, Veela might try to fake a sympathy card. I think Adrea should also inform Bally to keep on her guard for any suspicious behavior, maybe she'll catch something we miss?

Pretty sure she can answer our questions from inside Bally

I would definitely say to search her and run a perception check as well, though given how Bally handled her once she got close enough to her, it might not be too big of an issue.

Frankly given how Veela blew us off last time, negotiations are likely to breakdown anyways so (if this is even a viable option) we should go with a stomach interrogation—to at least get a meal out of it if nothing else—rather than good cop bad cop since she‘ll probably just lie if her life is not on the line (and maybe even then). I honestly don’t think we’ll be able to talk her down with our charisma.

I would mostly just suggest that we attempt to get who gave her the info on Bally‘s house in either case (as she mentioned it was just supposed to be Bally during the fight potentially among other things). We will need to know if she is just working alone or with an accomplice. It seems likely that Veela just got word from rumors or a broker of some kind, but it doesn’t hurt to be careful, especially given how much we got rocked last combat.
