I'm happy to finally release the first complete build of my short RPG, Daemon Glutton! Here's an edited version of the title screen at full resolution, featuring the two main characters, Gilgamesh and Enkidu!

The game can be comfortably be beaten in around 30-45 mins, so if you're really bored this holiday, give it a try!

*Check my blog for the download link!

At the moment, this is only playable on Windows PC, but I may port it to Mac at some point in the future. Feel free to send me a PM here or on Discord with any questions or problems.

Thank you for all those who have waited and I hope you enjoy!

last I checked both Gilgamesh and Enkidu were male in the original legend they came from, though I keep forgetting if the legend was Sumerian or Babylonian...

Really good, especially if this is your first game (first one I'm seeing, at least). Unless you already have it planned, I'd suggest more unique animations or sound effects in battles just to make them more enjoyable, as the battles at this point feel mostly like filler to get to the actual good stuff.

I've dabbled with RPG maker software for the last eight years or so, but this is my first finished and publicly released project. I really appreciate the feedback!

Just finished your game, recorded 3 parts, uploaded 1 thus far and overall this game is great, Definitely hoping for that sequel.

The writing definitely had it's strong comedic moments while still giving room for the plot stuff to still feel impactful.

The combat of the game was fairly balanced, minimal to no grinding needed, although a few nitpicks; Some of the tum moves(Mainly Belly Taunt) seriously made any non boss encounter really easy, you can see the strat I found in my video, also I don't know if there is a typing system here but I seriously couldn't tell the difference between the 4 elemental moves besides maybe few extra digits, Bosses though were just fine, could definitely be tough if you haven't grinded or have any prethought strategy, oh also SMT/Persona moves be busted as hell, as well as EXP and Gold Distribution, hell had 15 small HP and Mp potions before the last fight.

Definitely like the added dialogue touches for when Enkidu gets BEEG, appreciate the light romantic stuff though definitely need more to fully appreciate it.

Overall sweet and short, definitely would love to see a sequel to this, could definitely be like the next Some Bull****

Oh and bug wise, there were sometimes were it showed Enkidu's portrait despite Gilgamesh being the one talking.

Thank you very much for playing, and I really appreciate your detailed comment here on everything!

I mainly made this project as a test to see if I could make a game like this. I had a feeling the balancing in battles were a little janky, which I'm going to try and smooth out for the sequel to the best of my ability.

Seriously though, I really do appreciate the feedback here! I'll make sure I take it into account for the sequel and try and fix the bugs of the current project!

Game fucking rocks. Also very glad I noticed the FFIX victory theme immediately. All I wonder is if there's some other secrets in the game since I like to peer into game files after finishing to see if I'm missing anything

Just played and finished the game, and I got several suggestions. First off, I've ran into a bug where I've killed the cat-girl before the angel could swallow her. This lead to the scene playing out as normal, except the cat-girl was still there so Gil couldn't reach the fake gold. I'm not entirely sure if that could be recreated with the other bosses, but I assuming so, so perhaps you can figure out a way to prevent that. Like actually knocking them down to zero hp or something would lead to the devourment scene.

Second, I'm somewhat disappointed that there weren't any unique 'bad' endings. I was sorta hoping for the angel to be devoured by Istra and Gil being made her pet when they lost to her, but I understand that it might be your first time designing a game.

Third, while the need to grind wasn't too bad(I managed to beat the game at level 8), I feel like the enemies should have more....xp to them. As far as I can tell, all enemies gives 25 xp and 50 gold. But personally I feel like instead of having that be the rule throughout the game, you could have each area determine the amount of xp and gold. Like the first area, each enemy gives 25 xp and 50 gold, the next gives 50 xp and 100 gold, and so on.

Fourth is a bit more explantion on the weakness system. I could sorta guess and figure out which enemy are weak to what element(the wolf man was weak to fire, the wizard was weak to physical attacks, so on and so on), but I would like to have a sort of record on those weaknesses. Like you have a item that automatically records a enemy and reveal the weakness of them after you defeat them.

Finally, I'm assuming that our boy Gil is going to find himself surrounded by a bunch of beautiful women with big bellies and boobs, literally because he is too beautiful for his own sake.

Thank you very much for playing and the detailed comment!

The game is definitely rough around the edges, and I had a feeling there'd be some bugs that would fall through the cracks. I'll try and fix the bugs to make the cat girl scene work more consistently.

And yeah, Gil is just a really beautiful guy.

Thanks again for all the suggestions!

Good to hear that you'll try and make the catgirl scene work more consistently, though I'll suggest making sure you extend the idea to the other bosses. I've only managed to beat the cat-girl was because I dealt enough damage to ko her without being stopped by the game(Heat Riser and Debilitate is a fun combo). While I'm not entirely certain I, or anyone else could do the same to the other bosses(they most likely have more hp), it still a good idea to basically prepared for players who are dealing over a thousand damage because they grinded very hard. That, or somehow managed to get in a cheat code of some kind.

Pardon me for the necro, but I found this game and it's sequel through your canceled game - I went through a bit of a rabbit-hole.

I'd like to throw a token of appreciation for these two games; they were rather fun, brief as they were.

Hope to see more of these two, and if not, more from you, be it this setting or the next.
