Woooo! It's finally done! My first story, and probably one of the most ambitious projects I've signed myself up for! Onward and upward! The feelings that I was trying to evoke were that of a cozy, ASMR-style bedtime story... and in the end, I committed to that vibe so much, I spent dozens of hours making an actual, legitimate narration and voice-over with two friends of mine, including sound effects. I think it enhances the story a lot, so here it is!

This project was the marker of the first bit of motivation I had in ages. When I got said pang of motivation from the beckon of a writing contest to submit it to, I spent four tireless days and nights working on this project to try and get it done before I inevitably lost that spark and ended up with a half finished product! Hyperfixation carried this tale to the finish line! Overall, considering the restrictions, the fact that three folks all did voice-acting for the first time, I used an audio editing software for the very first time, and this is also my first story ever? I'm actually pretty proud of how it turned out! Which is saying a lot, because I'm definitely the self-deprecating type. But hey, it's finally finished, I can say that I'm pretty happy with it, and I really hope you lovely folks of Eka's Portal enjoy! Though, do note that any place that I put italics or bold on my docx file has some bizarre spaces around it that weren't present on the original thing. If I knew how to fix it, I would! It annoys me too! I apologize for it!



All voices are purely creative interpretation and are not meant to 100% accurately simulate the voices of the characters used. Voice work was done by yours truly,  TabbiKatti as the traveler, and  Sharystria as Nightmare. Some sound effects are credited to yiffcrime on FA.
