Catherine Affluere had a fairly normal, pleasant childhood, a good family life, a close friendship with a shy woman named Samantha, which eventually blossomed into something more, and many blessings in her life. However shortly after getting out on her own she started having strange…cravings. She’d find herself getting hungry at random times, and being unable to sate it without gorging herself. Even finding a situation where she found herself getting so hungry she blacked out and upon waking up realized she’d eaten all of the food in their fridge and freezer. That worried Cathy enough to get checked out, but nothing seemed to be wrong with her. So she continued with her work as a freelance web designer, and her hobbies, including running, reading, and testing new recipes Sam came up with. But those hunger pangs still happen, and while she hasn’t blacked out since that first time, she’s found herself wondering what might happen if she gets too hungry again.
