This is the fifth entry in my character journal.
Lana is getting her entry along with a redesign!
I honestly felt like her initial design was... fine? But quite generic and uninspired. So I sat down and redesigned her, while still trying to keep the initial vibe of the character.
Anyway... next one up is Myra!

Another fun journal entry Mouhr =) I've been an admirer of your work ever since you popped up with your forest nymph's berry comic(Lol) . it's so exciting when I recognize your art from a thumbnail, since I know it's going to be something great.
I think I like Lana the best so far from the journal, something about the play with their food thing seems very fitting for a mermaid and is one of my favorite themes.
I've been working on a few writing projects with similar character types. I wanted to ask you if you would mind if I did some fan fiction including your characters?

Another very interesting character! "Has a lot om empathy and enjoyment, yet will still eat people and can come off as cruel", you are not satisfied with normal preds, aren't you? You might be a comic creator yet, I would love to see all of these characters serialized!
She is beautiful, her fins remind me of Beta fishes; not built for any other purpose other than beauty. I do like that you included the freckles on her shoulders and well, who doesn't love a mess of freckles?
You said this was a re-design? I just did a quick search, the last time you posted about her was in Nomvember of 2020, so a couple of years ago. I remember loving the playful nature of her eyes, how innocent she looked (Although I never did figure out if it was her or the sailor saying "Parley"). Very glad to know that I was not wrong in my assumptions!
I do love 2 water-based preds so far! The sea was always a favorite of mine and it makes sense to have huge beasts or people there since there is so much room and food in the deep blue! I also love how different they are from each other, very creative work Mouhr!
In the end, I don't think you realize just how creative you are, Mouhr! Not only are you a breathtaking artist, the world you have showed us so far is varied and creative, filled with different characters all with their own unique quirks and preferences. Most people really don't know how to do this, at least most people that upload on this platform at least.
Take some pride in what you have, I look forward to everything you deem worthy to share with us!

Glad to hear you've found interest in her! I try to have every pred have a unique attitude.
You are quite correct in being reminded of Beta fish by her fins. Their shape is very much inspired by them, although the colours and patterns were inspired by the French Angelfish.
