My first story in.... over a decade. Why must I do this to myself?

I've wanted to write a Pokemon story in a classical era or feudal era japan setting- but have always fell short. I've got rough drafts of far more ostentatious projects than this that'll probably never see the light of day, but hey. This also fills an interest of mine, as I've never seen any artwork with a Gallade as a predator. So I submit Papa Palinurus for the role.
