Merlin is testing out a new potion which can help her absorb others' magical power, and what better place there is than to do it inside her own stomach. This way none of the released magical essence would be wasted in the air.

As for the volunteer, it wasnt hard to convince him to willingly dive into the stomach of the hot mage. Plus she would let him out before his magical power runs out so.. what could go wrong?
