I'm guessing once a soul has been gestated/stored within the Baphomet's ovum, they're trapped within her for eternity. Unless at a 'stretch', reborn as a new Baphomet, alongside a gestalt of souls?
That is possible.
Also the mother Baphomet can allocate certain amount of souls as a base material of the future Baphomet child.
These souls form the 'ancient follicles' within the Baphomet.
So every children that the Baphomet will bear in the future are genetically affected by these souls.
Therefore, these primary follicles souls are usually selected by their 'appearance, intelligence, physical ability' in hoping that their children will pass down high-graded genes.
These follicled souls are usually hibernating or 'so deeply' hidden within the ovaries.
It is a tradition that the mother Baphomet does not explain about these follicles, so the newborn Baphomet lives their life unrecognizing that there are base good graded souls that are trapped within her.
Some Baphomets who succeeded in training themselves with stronger power and well-skilled control of their organ later realizes that they had these selected souls since she was born.
Whether they decide to befirend these souls, continue to trap them and silence their voice, or even give them second chance of life(bearing that it will weaken themselves) is upon their personality.
Assuming, a fourth option in fully "integrating" their conciousness, until there's literally zero difference to them, could also be considered. As much as the equal possibility of being able to 'reverse-engineer' that process, to trap more souls 'deep' inside them, for a hard to manage/develop power boost.
Or, later on passing those same souls down, to their next child, or heir being another thought. Or heck, reincarnating that exact soul to be another Baphomet, like them. And lastly, assuming they don't gestate their conciousness for months, years or decades before eventually developing their child's body, in case of a "New Baphomet child".
