Twenty-something years in the future...

A married couple reminisce on their younger days over a glass of wine. The date was what had sparked this small trip down memory lane -- younger folk today still celebrated 8/8 with as much fervor and feasting as you'd expect way back when, but Ginger's time in the spotlight had long since ended.

In her younger years, Ginger had quite a streak of gluttonous indulgences; but as time wore on her body simply could no longer intake or expend such ludicrous quantities of energy. Her figure was still quite generously filled, but her appetite was nowhere near as ravenous as it once was. As newlyweds (and even when they were dating) her husband had spent many a happy night in her stomach, but after their first child they found themselves too exhausted to continue this especially close form of intimacy. Their many years of marriage had been blissful, but it was simply the truth that such a lifestyle carried a time limit. But still...

Ginger's eyes filled with a youthful glow. What she wouldn't give for one last fling as an apex predator... she may have been a bit past her prime, but the fire was still in her spirit. Blowing a kiss to the man she loved, she got up, mumbling something about tucking her little ones into bed. Her stomach growled deeply, comforting in its familiarity. Ginger felt confident -- she absolutely had it in her for one last big meal.
