Name: Rhea
Race: Lower Demon
Aspiration: Wants to work up the ranks to be known as a powerful demon. Even hopefully one day becoming a demon lord.
Appearance: Due to past spell mishaps has permanently taken on the features of a rat snake, though the spell was a bit more literal and gave her the features of both a rat and a snake. Though one change she had some control over, can willingly shift her lower snake body into just a tail so she can walk around normally.
Background: Always being seen as someone of low power and forgotten about she had never made waves compared to those around her. While researching ways to gain power she learned off the Tome of Untold Misfortune, A book long locked away and forbidden to be used. Since so many high-powered demons had their own book’s, she figured it would fast trac her to power. Well apparently, that book was locked away not due to its power, but due to it essentially being a dice roll every time its user cast any spell. So, thinking she planned the perfect and skilled heist, it was just locked so no one accidentally used it, but anyone could have opened the box, and so she stole the Tome. Over excited she used the first spell she could find, what appeared to be a transportation spell, wanting to see how it worked tried to move across the field should stood in not noticing the rat snake slithering past. This time the Untold misfortune was bringing all living creatures within the spell and making them one… So once that happened, she finally did the research she should have done before and learned that spell success ranged from this tome was 5-10% meaning that most of the time the spells just backfired against the user. As well she learned once a spell is cast the Tome is bonded with its new user, if they ever want to use magic or spells, it must come from the Tome. Not stopping her dream to be both known and powerful she continues to use her magic and is stuck constantly dealing with the consequences.

Additional Info: The Tomes power now residing inside her makes incredibly durable if not invincible which is very helpful with the number of backfires she deals with. If she did ever encounter a deadly situation the book or her could be resummoned or would resummon after an amount of time had passed. One of her backfires occurred while trying to create a powerful Familiar, instead, she got Rival. No magic power or in any way able to help her with her journey he does support her and is useful in other ways… Due to being her Familiar Rival gets the protections the Tome offers but also gets to firsthand take part in most of the Misfortunes. Sometimes misfortune for one is a benefit for another. . . almost never benefits Rival though. Though Rival does go to her for support when he needs help when dealing with others picking on his tiny form, she helps him out, sometimes.
