The gem on Leraph's forehead changes color depending on his mood. By default, it is green, though it may change blue if he's sad or red if he's angry, etc. Angels aren't naturally born with gems in their forehead, so he's a special case.

In this case... It's orange out of annoyance. The Priest wanted to witness an Angel's stomach capacity first-hand- he hadn't expected it could devour something like a crate!

If the Priest weren't his beloved, he'd certainly do more than just give him a piece of his mind...
