Went a little something like this:

Abby, the farmer's daughter, raised her little piglet from birth and became very attached to it. Although she had originally assigned her the name "Betty", the pampered pork quickly became known as Miss Leftovers.
Abby became very attached to her hungry companion. She even threw herself across her childhood friend to save it from her father's rifle and butchering block.
After that, she only spoiled her pet further. At least until one dreadful Thanksgiving.
Abby was carrying a heavy bucket of the remains from their feast down to Miss Leftovers. The savory aroma that approached caused her to pace her stall anxiously before Abby had even entered the barn.
When the pen's door finally opened, Abby heaved the bucket towards the feeding trough. However, the food never made it there as the ill mannered farm animal shoved it's way past, causing Abby to topple over and spill the nutritious payload onto the hog's bedding.
The scraps that escaped the tipped pail were the best that had ever been offered to Miss Leftovers. But that mattered little to the hog, who trampled her hooves across it as it seized the opportunity to finally put the farmer's daughter where it always wanted her.

It wouldn't be until the next morning that Abby's family would rouse from its food coma to discover her absence. And even then, not until midday until her father became concerned enough to phone in the local authorities and for them to arrive. Their investigation didn't take long however, as one officer stumbled upon a regurgitated scrap of tank top next to an empty pail. Seconds later, they also discovered a scrap of half dissolved panties draped from the mouth of Miss Leftovers.
