Security officer, Nettie, finds herself in an old chapel after a report of a crew members disappearance in the area. Investigating, she runs into a familiar looking visage. Herself, but shadowy, sinister and with a strange marking on her face.

Halee Nerada is a terrifying preacher (or illuminator) of a religion known as illuminism. A robotic brain in a body made from a nanite swarm, she uses it immitate others, as a shadow of them. A master of shadow play, she takes joy in tormenting others. A monster of her own making.
