Investigating an uncontacted tribe that never had the need for moving out of their region of jungle was a compelling affair. Afterall, it implied that they were sedentary or had some form of agricultural cultivation to allow for them to harvest from their surroundings all year round, implying some technique or source of fertilization that was unique.

Meeting up with the tribe was oddly peaceable as the tribes folk were excited and outwardly friendly and invited our intrepid Anthropologist to engage in their current ritual. However, upon engaging in the ceremonial drink she found herself losing consciousness.

When she awoke she was bound and gagged and being lead into the jungle by shamans and being tugged along by excited children as songs and drums of joy were echoing throughout the night as passing hunters and priests would pat her or rub paint or wreath her as she passed.

She was weak from the drugs and was barely coherent as she arrived in a clearing in the jungle that was clear of all other larger vegetation. She was was placed in the center as the shaman began to chant.

It was then a tendriled stalk emerged... and Kyra realized the source of the fertility in the region... as all around the plant were bones, skulls and even partially digested pith helmets of previous explorers who had vanished...
The stalk drug her into a large plant as it began to envelop her, feet first down a tight, almost latex or rubber like passage, slime and enzymes coating her as it slowly encased her bound form like a serpent, its tendrils coating her further and further as she slid down into the plants gullet. Her struggles and whimpers of protest fell on deaf ears as children giggled and celebrated as Kyra's face disappeared into the digestive tract.

The stalk then began to tighten and contract as all excess fluids and air began to leave the stem as it began to form an airtight grip over her, vacuum sealing her. It was partially translucent at this point as every frame of her curves and even sheen of her skin could be visible as the stalk rose and stiffened forming a woman shaped trunk in the center of the clearing.

She panicked over suffocating but to her relief, she had no problem getting air... only for a deep horror to seep in... it was going to keep her alive as long as possible.

The translucency barely allowed her to see outside as the tribe danced into the night as figures began to poke and feel at her vulnerable form, in advertantly massaging the fluids and enzymes into her body making the mere sensation of touch extremely sensitive.

The gooey insides of the plant contracted as more oxygen rich enzymes seeped into her skin as she began to feel slight stinging in her skin as first dead-skin was exfoilated as if after a slimey spa visit... eventually though... she would become nothing but the bones that surround her in the clearing... yet another lost and forgotten in the Green Hell.

The plant was a mass colony organism, its existence helped sustain and spread the surrounding rainforest around it. Allowing the tribe to harvest from berries and fruits and the things that consumed the fruits near all year round. All they needed was a yearly sacrifice. And it was considered a sign from their spirits and answer to prayers when an outsider arrived... for they believed it was an envoy by their gods to further sustain them by sending to the plant to last another year...
