Sugar is a half-jinni of a variety called a saalah. Or a sealah. It has been proposed that the Queen of Sheba herself was one. They're known for dwelling in and around forests, dancing, and drawing in humans to dance with them to exhaustion or death. They're also known for being so afraid of wolves that they can be repelled by their mere imagery.
Sugar was originally for an original project. We'll see where she ends up now. In D&D I guess she could be played as a genasi, but genasi and popular media "genies" are soooo fucking *boring* compared to their mythological counterparts. And whereas there are so many thematic and fun ways to do half-air-genies, D&D didn't use any of them and instead we got humans who are really good at holding their breath.
Sugar craves attention and stardom. She's not super focused on how to get there, though in the original project that got scrapped she specifically wanted to be an actor. The means doesn't matter quite as much to her as simply getting all eyes on her.
