Nikos grew up on the outskirts of Austin Texas. His father is an immigrant from Greece and his mother was from Iran. He grew up in Texas and has a definite American accent, though he speaks Greek, Arabic, and English and the languages his parents speak leave fingerprints, especially in the way he says certain words. He grew up in the aftermath of the earth wars of the 60s and 70s and wants to become an engineer to help rebuild the world. Of course he has faced discrimination and bullying, especially as a child when classmates would get ice from the nurse to throw at him and call him Nicolas and tell him to go back to the north pole. Nikos goes by Alex to all but his parents, and closest friends. He is also a hopeless romantic.
