Beach Bite By Mouhr -- Report

Sand is no deterrant for a hungry mermaid. A delicious bite to eat is worth it!

This was the winner of the March Patreon poll. Thank you to everyone who voted!

I definitely think I could have pushed the lighting a bit more but I'm still overall satisfied with how this piece turned out. It'll just be a lesson for next time!

Over, this picture feels more ambitious than the previous ones. Far bigger scale with obviously more work on small details and background (waves, mermaids nailes, sand marks left after woman's grasp).
Really enjoy how I can feel motion in this drawing, as mermaid goes down for a lick or maybe for an instant gulp. Not depicting the entire process leaves a lot to our imagination, which is great I'd say.
Would love to see more works in this direction myself. SUperb !

Great to hear that pushing myself and trying new things is showing and, seemingly, paying off! Thank you for the comment!

I was going to comment about the mouthful of sand that mermaid’s about to get, but then I read the description. I still don’t envy the thing though, sand in the mouth SUCKS.

You do have a point, although I'd imagine a mermaid would me more resillient to such a thing than the aberage person.

Even if her prey is on land, she'll find a way to make em slide down her throat! Amazing job! (I wonder where that beach is. I wouldn't mind meeting her belly~) <3

Hopefully she doesn't get a mouthful of sand with that snack! But yeah, love this idea and the execution!

I think the lighting was well done, Mouhr! No need to stress about it! Love her ears and the smatter of scales across her skin!
