It would seem that, although Katakuri has great control over his Mochi Mochi fruit, sometimes it can surprise him. Absorbing people into his stomach was not something he imagined possible and this flusters him. Looks like a new technique has been unlocked.
There are likely around three people in that belly, Katakuri is about 15ft tall ~
