About 4 months into the process, Kenji's pre-existing boundless energy mixed with him eating like he was pregnant (because he is pregnant) managed to slowly but surely transform the small Pokemon into a bigger one.

The Victini seemingly has no problem carrying around a belly that's already about four times bigger than he is and rather enjoys the experience of his belly slowly but surely growing with each passing day!
