When will they learn?

"Honestly, I'm just surprised you tried to do it again here of all places. Are you trying to end up down there or something? Is this a game to you, hun?"

Listening to the muffled sounds of shouting over the phone was a bit embarrassing. Though not half as embarrassing as the video Eren sent that was playing on my phone.

She'd sent it after catching the two of them in the act and confiscating Alexus' phone. Another video like she'd done with our next door neighbor and even her older sister. Where on Earth did Alexus get these ideas to film herself sitting on people's faces? Is this what's popular online right now? Back in my day, this kind of behavior was only prompted through too much booze... Now it's done to achieve some semblance of fame. Infamy more like!

"You still there, Autumn?"

Pulling myself out of spiraling over my deviant offspring, I snap the phone closer to my ear.

"Y-yeah. Sorry about making you do this Eren. She promised she'd be on her best behavior over there."

"Oh you know how they can be. Give'em an inch and they'll film softcore porn in your house. It's taken care of. Figure about 30 minutes under should do it."

I nod, knowing full-well Eren can't see me over the phone.

God, when did it get like this? Sometime around finally getting her a smartphone on her birthday she started filming all the time. Pretty innocent at first. Kinda cute and funny, actually. But that all changed when she decided she was gonna be a "content creator". My oldest daughter began constantly coming to me with the newest thing Alexus broke in her videos. I still remember the embarrassed shuffling into my room she did when she told me about the "after-shower incident". I had hoped having a talk with Alexus about personal space would be enough. But clearly not.

"Oh dear, when you phrase it that way..."

"Relax, just a joke. These things take time and my methods have already shown so much progress for Derek. I know it'll work for Alexus. Patience, Autumn."

I want to believe her, really. But I've always had my doubts. After all, didn't she say Derek agreed to be in Alexus' little video? It sure didn't look like she forced herself on him. I decide to keep that part to myself.

"Well thanks again for sitting on such short notice. Lea cancelled on me and you were the only person I could think of."

Eren laughs, "Well I should have expected agreeing might involve sitting in more ways than— OW! Hey! No biting, missy!"
