“Fuck, fuck, fuck!” Rhys thought to himself as he ran down the narrow alleys and passageways of Kiryusburg. He knew he was going to be late. For most other people it wouldn’t take this long to get from Rhys’ house to his job, but Rhys was just a small little neko boy, the perfect prey for deer. In order to avoid getting eaten by the deer Rhys had to take the longest route possible to his job. The extra distance added a significant amount of time to his trip causing him to be constantly late. Not only that but often the poor little neko boy would get lost in the strange streets of Kiryusburg. If only he was tall enough to reach the pedals of a car.

Rhys was luckier this time than most though. He actually remembered most of the turns he was supposed to take. It wasn’t going to save him from being late but at least he wasn’t going to be super late. As he turned the last corner, he knew he had to turn, he felt joy shoot up through him. Soon he could stop running and be safe from any deer attacks. With Martin’s in sight, motivation coursed through Rhys as he barreled towards the door. With all of the force of his tiny body he pushed the door open and came to a stop.

“Sorry *huff* for being late *wheeze* again…” Rhys panted as he slowly caught his breathe. But unlike most of the times, his co-worker Nexus didn’t start berating him the moment he came through the door. Instead, Rhys heard a very different sound.
