The Mollusk.

Resultado de una serie de experimentos, nombrado en el laboratorio en el que fue creado como “Mollusk Cell Experiment 34”, el objetivo de los investigadores era encontrar una forma de contrarrestar el envejecimiento humano, por lo que experimentaban combinando ADN de humanos con especies de cefalópodos y gasterópodos como babosas, caracoles, pulpos y calamares debido a la capacidad de regeneración celular que poseen estos seres.
Nunca fue intención de los científicos crear a una criatura viva, sin embargo en el informe número 34 se expone que el resultado de una combinación especial de ADN humano, Enteroctopus dofleini (Pulpo gigante de california), Elysia chlorotica
(Babosa esmeralda), Cornu aspersum (Caracol común de jardín) y Octopoteuthis deletron (Calamar pulpo) dio origen a un extraño ser. Curiosos por la creación accidental del molusco lo dejaron desarrollarse, el molusco carecía de un sistema digestivo, al igual que la Babosa esmeralda ingiere algas para absorber la clorofila y así poder realizar la fotosíntesis para nutrirse.
Sin embargo tuvo un límite de crecimiento alrededor de unos 100cm de altura y unos 160cm de longitud en la denominada etapa infantil de la criatura.
Un fallo eléctrico en las instalaciones provocaron que el molusco escape de su cautiverio.
Debido a su tamaño era un presa fácil allí afuera, sin embargo no tardó en encontrar una forma para crecer.
Puede consumir ciertas presas, específicamente humanos, al no poder digerir alimentos comunes, si devora un humano puede asimilar el cuerpo de su víctima convirtiendo el cuerpo ajeno en parte del suyo.
Las presas conservan su corazón, pulmones, cerebro y sistema nervioso intactos, lo demás se transforma en masa que hace crecer al Molusco, la cabeza y pies de las víctimas sobresalen del cuerpo del monstruo como una especie de trofeo grotesco.
Las víctimas no mueren realmente, permanecen vivas y totalmente conscientes, no sienten dolor físico durante su asimilación.
Al conectar el sistema nervioso y el cerebro de las víctimas al sistema central del Molusco, la criatura aumenta su capacidad de pensamiento e inteligencia y también es capaz de obtener los recuerdos de sus víctimas, entre más personas consume, más inteligente se vuelve.
Es un criatura silenciosa y veloz, muy astuta y capaz de generar estrategias para emboscar a una posible víctima. Su cuerpo es flexible y elástico, aún con su forma puede moverse de forma ágil trepando paredes y movilizandose por terrenos difíciles.
Posee una visión de 360°, sus ojos son capaces de observar cualquier ángulo de forma independiente incluso en la oscuridad.
Su genética está definida por los cromosomas sexuales femeninos en su creación, por eso sus presas son mujeres para poder asimilarlas completamente, de lo contrario no podría asimilar los órganos sexuales masculinos además de otros aspectos del cuerpo humano masculino, sus presas están en edades desde la adolescencia hasta la adultez aproximadamente 50 años, presas que sean saludables.
No tiene un método reproductivo real, pero cuando su tamaño se ha vuelto demasiado grande para cazar utiliza la gemación, se divide generando un ser que es una extensión de sí mismo, poseen la misma mente y el objetivo de los pequeños moluscos es asimilar más víctimas y volver a fusionarse con el cuerpo principal en caso de que la criatura tenga problemas para cazar.
En su forma infantil su forma de caza es más sigilosa basándose principalmente en emboscadas, tras sorprender a su presa se abalanza sobre la cabeza de su víctima y la engulle de un bocado, en ese punto ninguna resistencia impedirá que pueda tragarse el resto del cuerpo.
Al crecer debido a su tamaño pierde el factor sorpresa para acercarse a sus víctimas, por lo que ataca de frente y directamente. Su organismo genera una sustancia viscosa basada en la baba del caracol, más espesa y pegajosa de color ámbar. Escupe la sustancia de su boca apuntando a las piernas de sus objetivos para inmovilizarlos, normalmente la usa cuando tiene más de una presa disponible atrapando a las demás víctimas para consumirlas una por una.
En la parte inferior de su cuerpo crece una especie de capullo, allí tiene almacenados dos tentáculos con los que captura a sus presas.

The Mollusk.

The result of a series of experiments, named in the laboratory where it was created as “Mollusk Cell Experiment 34”, the researchers’ goal was to find a way to counteract human aging, so they experimented by combining human DNA with species of cephalopods and gastropods such as slugs, snails, octopuses and squid due to the cellular regeneration capacity that these beings possess.
It was never the intention of the scientists to create a living creature, however in report number 34 it is stated that the result of a special combination of Human DNA, Enteroctopus dofleini (Giant California octopus), Elysia chlorotica
(Emerald slug), Cornu aspersum (Common garden snail) and Octopoteuthis deletron (Octopus squid) gave rise to a strange being. Curious about the accidental creation of the mollusk, they let it develop. The mollusk lacked a digestive system, just like the Emerald Slug, which ingests algae to absorb chlorophyll and thus be able to carry out photosynthesis to nourish itself.
However, it had a growth limit of around 100cm in height and 160cm in length in the so-called infant stage of the creature.
An electrical failure in the facilities caused the mollusk to escape from captivity.
Due to its size, it was easy prey out there, however it was quick to find a way to grow.
It can consume certain prey, specifically humans. Since it cannot digest common foods, if it devours a human it can assimilate the body of its victim, turning the other body into part of its own.
The prey retains its heart, lungs, brain and nervous system intact, the rest is transformed into mass that makes the Mollusk grow, the head and feet of the victims protrude from the body of the monster as a kind of grotesque trophy.
The victims do not really die, they remain alive and fully conscious, they do not feel physical pain during their assimilation.
By connecting the nervous system and brain of the victims to the central system of the Mollusk, the creature increases its capacity for thought and intelligence and is also able to obtain the memories of its victims, the more people it consumes, the smarter it becomes.
It is a silent and fast creature, very cunning and capable of generating strategies to ambush a possible victim. Its body is flexible and elastic, even with its shape it can move agilely climbing walls and moving through difficult terrain.
It has 360° vision, its eyes are able to observe any angle independently even in the dark. Its genetics are defined by the female sex chromosomes at its creation, that is why its prey are women in order to fully assimilate them, otherwise it could not assimilate the male sexual organs as well as other aspects of the male human body, its prey are in ages from adolescence to adulthood approximately 50 years, prey that are healthy.
It does not have a real reproductive method, but when its size has become too large to hunt it uses budding, it divides generating a being that is an extension of itself, they have the same mind and the objective of the small mollusks is to assimilate more victims and fuse again with the main body in case the creature has problems hunting.
In its child form its hunting form is more stealthy based mainly on ambushes, after surprising its prey it pounces on the head of its victim and swallows it in one bite, at that point no resistance will prevent it from swallowing the rest of the body.
As it grows due to its size it loses the surprise factor to approach its victims, so it attacks head on and directly. Its organism generates a viscous substance based on snail slime, thicker and stickier than amber. It spits the substance from its mouth, aiming at the legs of its targets to immobilize them. It normally uses it when it has more than one prey available, trapping the other victims to consume them one by one.
A kind of cocoon grows on the lower part of its body, where it has stored two tentacles with which it captures its prey.
