Sometimes you just want to see one of your characters in a bad situation. Like "got into a lion's pen at some point and he was hungry". I mean, people disappear like that all the time, y'know? Hopefully someone's around with a tranquilizer gun or something, otherwise she's gonna be stuck gurgling in a lion's gut for a few hours, digested alive until she runs out of air, never to be seen again. And worse than that, the lion's gonna get fat.
