I'm not sure if Salty's came out before the Bob mod or vice versa, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were related from the start

They were never related but Bob and Ophee were at some point in a canon relationship, which got de-canonized when people were harassing Tsuraran on Twitter if I remember correctly
