Sanguine, a demon with goat and dragon features, was summoned by a mortal. He lived with the mortal, who bargained a deal for power with Sanguine. Sanguine agreed, feeding off of the mortal's blood and offering magic and power in turn. Eventually, the mortal was accused of being a witch, but disappeared before the trial. Sanguine also disappeared, and the empty house was burnt to the ground.

Two decades later, a town was erected near the empty house. A church was built over the burnt-down house, but was eventually abandoned for being haunted. Once abandoned, it seemed to become a cultist location, with explorers and curious minds entering to never return. In the time of a couple centuries, the town grew a little, but is always wary of the church at the end of the town.
