Sean McFlannigan rushed out of the lighthouse and into the raging storm, his long black coat billowing behind him. Flashes of lightning lit up the sky in ominous shades of lavender. This was unlike any storm he had ever seen, but he hadn't come out simply to watch it roll across the raging sea. Sean was beginning to get up there in years and many parts of his body didn't work as they used to but the one part of his body that did not apply to was his eyes. He still had the sharpest eyes of anyone on the coast, one of the reasons he was perfect for this job. It was hard to get something past him and this time was no different. He had seen something, he knew he had, something massive hurling about within the tumultuous waves.
He continued to gaze out, waiting, patient, scanning the horizon and the anger pelagic tides as they thrust about. However all that greeted him were the great forks of lightning that tore open the sky. After about a minute, Sean's face scrunched up in irritation and he let out a sigh. 'It must have been a whale.' He thought to himself and turned back to return to the lighthouse. A overwhelming peal of thunder overtook, rattling his bones and almost threatening to topple him into the waves below. While the storm had been quite violent for its duration and the racket of thunder was not at all uncommon, this time was different, like it had come from right beside him, like a bomb had just been detonated underwater.
Suddenly the sound of wet flesh meeting stone greeted his ears, overpowering even the torrential pattering of the rain. And great cracking noise sounded above him like stones being compressed to a breaking point. Behind him an earthquake struck the ground, again almost toppling him , this time down the steps as, he struggled to catch himself. He flailed around briefly, catching his balance and starting rotating his head, trying to catch sight of whatever had just made such a ruckus, except he couldn't find it. In fact he couldn't see anything. Something was blocking the horizon completely. With a look of utter confusion Sean's gaze traveled upwards, his eyes widening the further up he got. The sky in its fury threw a fork of lightning at the earth helping to illuminate the silhouette of a truly goliath creature.
Tremendous swells rose from it's chest, like the breasts of a young woman. It's head was free of hair, but adorned in fin like protrusions where's it ears would be and it's gaze...it's gaze was frightening. Cold unblinking unseeing eyes that glowed, like the very lighthouse Sean attended to. It was impossible. In all his years, Sean had never seen anything like this, no such creature so...human, and so big. Just as he was considering what in the seven seas this could possibly be the monolith turned it's unseeing luminescent gaze downwards, fixing it's magnificent eyes right on him. Sean dared not move as he returned to the gaze of this mammoth woman like creature lest he in some way upset it or catch it's attention. He dared not even breathe as the sky continued it's turmoil and another bolt of lightning dyed the whole scene in an intemperate indigo hue.

a little background. This image was simple...I had this idea of a lone lightkeeper (lighthouse keeper) tending to his lighthouse when suddenly he is treated to an Outsider rising from the depths during the midst of a storm. When thinking of this I had a particular image and vision and my head and feel I was able to pretty accurately translate that. Of course, a giant alien woman rising out of the sea would have to be wet (*ahem* not that kind of wet) so I decided I needed to learn how to do that. I was able to get the tools necessary and learn how to use them in order to replicate the texture of wet skin. I also gave this specific Outsider some traits differeing of the more common variety including darker skin, with a pattern on the body as well as glowing eyes. I've done you all dirty as this is the second Outsider image with this feature but I assure you, Outsider eyes don't usually glow. It was for effect in the first image and this one...well, she prefers it deep underwater and so needs to be able to see. Kind of like angler fish or any other deep sea creatures. It also is why she is so massive. Honestly not sure if she says him, but she definitely probably tastes him! What does that mean? You'll see as the story unfolds and we learn more about these alien invaders.
