This is the first of 3 versions I've made of "V-Day The Journey" by anonymous19999. It's one of my favorites.

I may post the other versions if there's any interest. At the top of this story, there's a brief synopsis of each version.

I may need to repost this story. Double-quotes are being replaced by a pair of characters - a square followed by a letter. And I've spotted a couple errors that I may as well correct if I can figure out how to fix the quotes.

OK. I don't understand this, but when I uploaded the story as an .rtf file, the quotes were messed up. So I saved it as a .doc file and re-uploaded. That seemed to fix it. Just don't ask me why.

Glad you liked it. The original story ended with Amir's release. To satisfy my preferences, it had to end with consumption and digestion.
