So this will probably be many of you's first introduction to an old character of mine, Chloe Vortex, who's been around since ye ol DeviantART Sonic days but I just haven't drawn for a long time until recently. Anyway, who is Chloe?

Well that's good question! Chloe is many things. Chloe is an arpine from Krathal. In life she was a marine sniper turned mercenary who regularly carried out assassinations usually on incredibly vile and notorious individuals. She was also a caring wife and the nurturing mother of Neil Vortex but also someone with an incredible sense of justice, duty, and pride. After her eventual death she would join the ranks of her ancestors in the afterlife and become a hunter spirit, and this is where we are now in this picture.

Chloe is a spirit of retribution and vengeance and acts as a literal predator to evil and twisted entities on the spiritual plane. Chloe regularly devours demons, corrupted spirits, dark fae, and the souls of vile mortals and does it with an incredible drive and sense of satisfaction. Being an arpine she loves the thrill of the hunt and will often toy with her prey, mocking them and making them feel the sense of the fear they brought others, and use creative methods and tactics to finally capture and ultimately consume her prey. She takes great pride in her work and enjoys every minute of it from the moment she catches on to their trail to the moment they are nothing more than a pool of liquefied essence in her stomach for her to absorb into her own being.

Chloe's spiritual form closely resembles her at her physical peak (which for her is the equivalent of a human 35 year old) and bears the symbol of Astir, the arpine god of spirits and ancestors, on her arm. Chloe in this form is also a hammerspace pred, meaning she can cram multiple same size prey without being too hindered and only experience a little bit of belly bulging. Chloe can also be a very cruel and sassy pred, but her prey usually very much deserve what's coming and overall Chloe serves a net good.

One previously mortal individual who screwed up enough to get on Chloe's menu was Rive the Skyield who was a notorious tyrant during her mortal life and spent the past 3000 years haunting and tormenting Skyield children and was guilty of several soul stealings and many possessions in her search of a new host body. Chloe caught wind of Rive and decided to end her for good. I was originally going to write a short story in the description regarding everything that led up to the moment Rive found herself heading down to Chloe's gut but then the scenario got so long in my head that I decided to cover the leadup to this as a separate story post that I will write sometime in the future.
