I promise I'm not going to do this for the others in the series, but I realize that unless you download the others and scale them yourself they'll look a bit fuzzy when enlarged.
This is my favorite scene I did, and I would like it to be easier to view so for just this one I enlarged it to upload.
One neat constraint for making background art for the game boy is that you're only allowed to have 192 unique 8x8 tiles. While a lot of the 8x8 tiles in this are pure black squares, there are some areas that I had to be a bit more clever. The reason the forearm is a bit more horizontal is so that I could reuse an 8x8 tile once. there's an 8x8 tile in the ear that's all green that matches the green on her leg and so on.
If you ever want to work with this constraint yourself, I recommend reading this neat little page: https://www.gbstudio.dev/docs/assets/backgrounds/#:~:text=Size%20Requirements%E2%80%8B,in%20both%20width%20and%20height.&text=Both%20the%20width%20and%20height,than%20or%20equal%20to%202040px%20.
And if you want to validate that you did it correctly, GB Studio can check your backgrounds for you to make sure you did it right

Oooh! The Gameboy aesthetic is pretty interesting!

The constraints are so good at stopping analysis paralysis, which I fall prey to often. Gameboy is a good start to learning for this reason! I think a lot of people who start with gba or snes which are practically unlimited

I really hope that you'll pick the project back up again! It looks really nice.
