Several years after the end of the ATLA and some of the avatar ladies have found themselves in an area very potent in their connection with the Spirit World. However, this has lead them to become pregnant with an unknown spirit's offspring as to repopulate over in the Spirit World. Azula is the latest, with her belly becoming the biggest. It seems the Spirit wanted to teach her a lesson in motherhood.

I'd like to imagine the hypothetical spirit in question saying "Oh? You attribute everything bad in your life to your mother's perceieved mistreatment of you? Well then, I'd like to see YOU do better than her" and boom this happens
