The storm roared outside, rain and wind battering the guild hall. In a bedroom dimly lit by candlelight, a stout dwarf woman with green-tinted hair sits, gently rubbing over her swollen belly. A bump pushes out from within, eliciting a small chuckle as she reaches up and rubs over it until it sinks back into her skin.
The dwarf looks out toward the storm, a bright flash followed by a low rumble of thunder illuminates the room for just a moment, then it fades again. She looks down at her belly once more, expecting some more squirming. Much to her delight, it seems her charge has settled down and fallen asleep.
"There ya go, Split... Auntie Flash has got ya..." Her voice is soft and maternal, despite her lack of experience in that field.
"Don't gotta worry about that storm in there..."
She always knew that Split didn't like bad weather, but seeing her companion looking so petrified in her doorway as the thunder roared... Well she couldn't let the poor fox deal with that. Of course, they couldn't just stay up all night either... They tried a number of things to block out the noise and lights of the lightning storm, but to no avail. That is until Flash noticed how attached to her soft tummy Split was. Flash didn't quite know why she thought of this, nor did she know why she didn't bother giving Split a heads-up.
Flash just... asked her to close her eyes, then took advantage of the fox's inability to see it coming... Swallowing her down was strange. She kind of tasted like... cookies and cream, but had the texture of... Well, a fox. After a mild panic-attack from her companion, Flash managed to calm her down and Split realized that not only was she safe in Flash's... surprisingly elastic stomach... But she couldn't hear the storm anymore. It was too muffled by Flash's stomach lining and fat.
She fell asleep some time later, and Flash let out a heavy sigh and stood up, her gut gently swaying and letting out a happy gurgle as she let out a long, low belch.
"I'll let ya out tomorrow..." Flash said, crawling back into bed and rubbing over her satisfied stomach.
