Some fantastic furries have been working with me to reconfigure my writing system, my organization skills, and my finances. I have been having a problem asking for the amount that I should be asking for, which has caused me a lot of duress. So, two issues: How to make the money, and how to finish the work?

This is the first part of the solution, new rates, and four tiers of writing. What's the difference between the four types of commissions?


Add-ons are the most basic, these are stories to go with art (usually a Lenexwants comic), they are usually 4 pages long but can be longer. They are cheap because they're fast - I write something to go with it and it's done. No edits (save for grammar/punctuation etc).

Vignettes and Short Stories are both completed in a day, a vignette is a very concentrated short scene, usually exploring a single kink. There's not much more to it than that, but there is more influence over the results than with an ADD ON, so you can request changes, usually additional focus on some aspect, when it's done.

Short Story is my bread and butter, and is usually around 15 pages long, which is about as much as I can write in one day without burning out. This will have a beginning, middle and end, is is better for emphasis on the characters and their thoughts and reactions. Unlike a vignette, which is more like a day dream, this is a satisfying story.

Novette, usually up to 30 pages, is the largest works I can offer comfortably, and reflects large pieces of work that may include much more than just sex. These works may (with commissioner's permission) be published for commercial use, and involve full story outlines, character arcs and a satisfying conclusion.
