Personally, while working on this, I liked to think the protagonists accepted a quest from some wealthy, aristocratic woman to get materials from the creature. So that she can have fancy dress commissioned incorporating its materials.

It feels like that there is always someone like that in fantasy setting games. (Looking at you princess who wanted Rajang fur gloves).
