On the wings of Icarus I fly,
Too far, too high.
The bounds of the earth aren't vast enough,
The span of a lifetime is too short.
I've seen with my eyes, the dying of the light.
Watched the old beg for another night,
blood irradiated, skin grey.
They suffer, insufferably, just to live.
If death shall take us all,
I will face him smiling, as I fall.
In a blaze of glory, gravity defied.
My life, my work, immortalized.
