Happy Halloween! Posted 4 years ago
Hello to all you beautiful people out there, and a very happy Halloween!

All Hollow's Eve is upon us, and it's not too much longer until the spirits of the dead rise to walk the earth (that is, unless, they already have) once again. While this wacky pandemic has changed the way the holiday is celebrated this year, it's still nice to take part of small festivities, whatever way you're doing it.

I'll keep this post short and sweet, so, once again, a spooky last day of October to everyone and, for those who celebrate it, feliz día de los muertos!

Until the next post, be sure to stay safe and having a spooktacular night!
One Week to Halloween! Posted 4 years ago
The day is almost here! Halloween is only one week away, and I for one am getting excited!

Even though this whole virus thing has made the holidays screwy, that's not to say that the spirit of the season is dead! There are still plenty of movies to watch, games to play, stories to read, songs to hear, plants to carve, and sweets to eat! I'll go through each one separately for myself, but if you want to share yours, feel free to comment them!

Q: Favorite Halloween Movies?
A: The original Ghostbusters from the 80s, The Addams Family, Beetlejuice, Hocus Pocus, Nightmare Before Christmas, and, if we're counting the Mexican equivalent of Halloween, Day of the Dead, The Book of Life and Coco.

Q: Favorite Halloween-esque games?
A: All the classic...

Smash Bros. 9.0! Steve, Fixes, and Buffs! Posted 4 years ago
Hello everybody! Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has now been updated to version 9.0, coinciding with the release of the new character: Steve! I've never really cared about who got into Smash as DLC because I don't play the game super often (or at least, not as often as I used to), but I must say, the new Minecraft character looks pretty interesting. Being able to craft and build better weapons is a very unique concept that no other character has, and the fact that limited resources prevent players from spamming the same attack over and over again is a miracle in my book (seriously, just play online and you WILL know how bad campers are).

But, seeing as how I don't have the fighter's pass (because I'm a cheapskate), I was mostly excited to see what characters got buffed and nerfed....

Farewell, Eddie Van Halen Posted 4 years ago
I'm not sure how many of y'all know, but Eddie Van Halen, lead guitarist for the band "Van Halen", has just passed away today after his long battle with throat cancer. Great, just when 2020 seemingly couldn't get any worse! For those who've never listened to Van Halen, I'm sure you've heard their hit song "Jump" at sometime and someplace (I'll provide a link below).

Eddie was ahead of his time, being one of (if not) the greatest guitar players in the world. From his breakout performance in "Eruption", to the synthesized riffs of "Why Can't This Be Love", and even to his cameo in Michael Jackson's "Beat It", Eddie entertained many and inspired millions.

Van Halen is a band that is very close to my heart, so I...

Halloween is in the air! Posted 4 years ago
Ahhh, October, how I love thee. The month of spooks and scares are finally upon us all, and what better way to celebrate than to ready a costume, carve a pumpkin, and feed that sweet tooth, of course!

As you can see, my overall theme for Halloween this year is none other than the original arcade horror game, Splatterhouse! If you haven't played it yet, then go check out an emulator of the original and give it a whirl; You won't regret it one bit!

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing all of my favorite Halloween movies come on this year, especially the original two Ghostbusters. Sure, you can watch flicks like that any time of the year, but there's just something special about viewing it in October that makes it worth the yearlong wait!

For those...
