Well, I finally went and tried out the chatroom. Made a decent character, dropped into the library, PUBed or whispered people who looked interesting, etc.

Results were...mixed.

I was totally unprepared for the sheer amount of ghosting, unresponsiveness, and poor writing quality I encountered. More than half of the people who I approached or who approached me vanished mid-conversation with no warning. More just stopped talking in the middle of the conversation and ignored my attempts to continue, or continually ignored me after we had set up a scene to play. Every attempt I made to schedule a session ended up with a chronically late or totally absent partner. So, uh, first blog post. Having published four stories now, with two more unfinished, I thought this would be a good time and a good place to explain why I do some of the things I do when I write and post. Hope you find it interesting.

The first thing to go over is why I write. I lurked for several years before I joined this community, and I continue to favorite and enjoy the content posted here. I like the site, and I want it to thrive, so I wanted to help contribute to it. I also wanted to become an active, present member of the community; I had often felt very isolated in having this fetish, and so I wanted to be able to talk about it with people. Unfortunately, I can't draw. I can't really even write; I'm dysgraphic and produce chicken scratch whenever I set pen to paper....
