Thank youuu Posted 3 years ago
I want to thank everyone that helped me out these last few weeks. I can't begin to tell you how much it helped me out both financially and emotionally. Breathing room. I needed it. You gave it to me, and I and forever thankful. That said, I crawled out of bed early this morning to complete some art; hope you like it. <3

2021 update and some financial struggles Posted 3 years ago
Hi there!

I can't stress enough how much it pains me to make an entry involving finances but here it goes.

The reason I haven't been productive as of late is that my roomie lost her job a few months ago, meaning I've been paying the bills and rent by working 50-60 hours a week. This leaves me a tired, unmotivated wreck. The pandemic obliterated our savings, and her career prospects have been keeping her in limbo. Anyway, I won't bore you with further details. I will be fine, I'm not going to be homeless, I'm not going to disappear. But below is a link to my ko-fi account and if you feel so inclined, I would be eternally grateful. This will be the only entry I make of this kind because it feels icky.

2020 update and 3 million views Posted 4 years ago
Hey!

I have found myself in a bit of a drawing rut as of late. This is most likely a result of the strange world we find ourselves in this year and the way it has upended any semblance of order and routine. I'll get back to the grind, though it might take some time. I've also been working hard on anatomy rather than winging it, which has the unfortunate side effect of making my art take much, much longer. Thank you for your patience ^_^

Instead of artfully wallowing, I've been halfassed worldbuilding my little universe. This doesn't mean much to most of you but it would be nice to get it all out of my head and down on figurative paper, so to speak. Eventually I'll get to the art stage, so that might be something to look forward to.

I also managed to...

Good news! Posted 6 years ago
So I have some pretty good news for those of you who follow me. The reason I retired from drawing was because I had no time due to work. Since the California fires caused a lot of air pollution, we had a lot of downtime at work and I had a number of conversations with my superiors about what it is that I do. I made them realize the amount of work I have should be done by three people, not one. They agreed and have now hired two minions for me to train that will be assisting me with my daily tasks. So after 2-1/2 years, my hours will be returning to normal hours. This frees up 10-20 hours every week for me! So...

*Slips her bellbottoms back on*

My artwork retirement can suck it. SUCK IT!

HipHugger sincerely apologizes for the interruption.

Cancelled Vore Game, Part 2 Posted 6 years ago

So during my second attempt at a game, I decided I needed slightly taller sprites and went with something more in the 100 pixel range. It allowed me to put a little more life into their movements. Honestly they're still really amateur sprites, but I like the way they look. I wanted to have the second iteration of the game as just a series of boss fights. The plot of the game was basically your sister Amber gets kidnapped, you fight through about 7 girls trying to find out which one of them snatched her, and end up battling HipHugger. She tells you you've been played all along and that your sister isn't really related, but a Siren who has brainwashed you. Upon returning, Amber has eaten the rest of your family and just...

Cancelled Vore Game, Part 1 Posted 6 years ago
https://i.imgur.com/kVIbMkX.gif

Many moons ago, I had big plans to make a pixel art femdom/vore game called When Hunger Strikes. It never came to pass. I'm not sure what made me think I could learn to code, create character sprites and pixel art backgrounds to craft my own game. Especially with the non-existent free time I have. I was so naive! I estimate about 3% of the game was complete. I had the physics and input controls set up, and a couple characters were about 30% finished. Long story short, I got a new job that had me working 50-60 hours a week, taking all of my time. Then my phone, where I created a lot of different sprites on my lunch break, bricked itself and I foolishly lost a couple months of animations. Nail in the coffin.

Update and question Posted 6 years ago
Hi there! I just wanted to clear a couple things up, because I feel like maybe the blog about my retirement came off as a little more bleak than I meant it to. I am done creating vore art for the foreseeable future, but I am not completely disappearing. I will still be somewhat around, though I won't be on here daily. You can contact me to check my vital signs if you feel the need.

I've been asked by a few people now if they can write about/borrow/draw/RP as my characters if I am no longer active, and my answer is always going to be an emphatic "yes." It delights me to no end. That has been and always will be my policy.

Lastly, I know there are hundreds of better artists on this site that color their illustrations better than I, but is there any interest...

Hip Hugger is retired Posted 6 years ago
Hello there, Prey.

A few of you may have noticed that I've been gone for about two years. I want to sincerely apologize to anyone who saw my abrupt exit as alarming. I never meant for it to be dramatic, but I decided then that I simply had nothing more to give. And like so many artists who stop creating, I figured it was time to pack up and leave.

Then about two weeks ago or so, I realized how much I absolutely hate when artists do that.

I am finished creating vore art. But, instead of my art disappearing, I'm just going to dump every vore related piece of artwork, sketch, story, pixel art, ideas and dreams I have onto my Eka's gallery. Consider it my swan song ^_~ If I find anything down the road, I'll be sure to upload it.

To the fans...
