The reasons why I believe that they will never interact with us is that:
1) We have resources that no other planet offers. This one is probability=0 odds, it's never going to happen.
2) Mining for resources. If aliens actually wanted resources, there would be closer planets which would provide much more resources. If they wanted our resources, they would be forced to barter and trade for less resources that they could get for free.
3) Direct Interaction. If aliens actually wanted to interact with us, it would mainly just for documentation as if they wanted to signify their existence, there would be much easier ways like a flag/plaque on the moon that predates our monuments. But they would not see any profit in showing that they exist because if we learn that aliens exist,...
