Drawing porn: Is it wrong? Posted 14 years ago
My initial thought:

It most definitely has some awesome potential to do great evil.

As it's written in Matthew 5:27-28 (NIV) "You have heard that it was said 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." From this I determine that it is just the physical actions performed by man that condemn one but that the very thoughts and attitudes of the heart are what determine good and bad in a man. This is supported by the context of this passage where Jesus likens being angry at one's neighbor to murdering him/her (Matthew 5:21-22).
Here's the slippery ground upon which I cautiously step out: I do not consider pictures to be women. My own drawings do not...

Transgenders [And way more than I intended to write ;> <] Posted 14 years ago
So despite the vast array of topics I'd like to address with Humbug (and any others of you who desire to join in) this has been pressing on my mind of late.

I will preface by stating that I am by no stretch of the imagination a subject-matter expert, nor even moderately well-experienced. If you have expertise regarding this topic, please straighten me out.

I cannot imagine anyone willingly seeking to undergo a sex change unless already born with the characteristics that are accepted with a sex that one is not. Even if for attention, it does not strike me as a viable option for anyone. An enormous amount of fear and prejudice surround even homosexuals, let alone transgenders. Unless one might have some strong sadistic tendencies, it seems to me...

Christian Posting Porn and Painful Memories Posted 14 years ago
As I said before I will address the issue of posting my art in good conscience with the chance of other believers out there being hurt by my posting. However, I really want to ask another question, so this will only be a brief explanation.

With any number of beliefs about what behavior is dedicated to God and what behaviors are vile scattered among so many believers if I were to try and discard all actions that could possibly weaken the faith of all my Godly siblings I would be paralyzed. Rather, I will continue until made aware of the weakness of one of my brothers and then make efforts to avoid hurting them farther.
Another fail-safe encourages me to post my erotic work here; this site very clearly contains adult material and is not happened onto by accident. So then...

Gays and God Posted 14 years ago
Good grief! I haven't blogged since February!? Sheesh...

Anyway, I was made to reconsider recently( Yes, that's a liberal term with me. > >;; ) the idea of homosexuals having homosexual intercourse and it's legitimacy before God. Since a young child I've been raised and reared to think that such a thing is detestable and it greatly disgusted me until only a couple years ago. It's even written in the book of leviticus 20:13 (NIV) "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads." There really isn't much room for creative interpretation there; that's quite straightforward.

The Mosaic laws are also quite clear about other things that must...

Why Bad Things Happen Posted 15 years ago

I imagine you're going to take on the "Problem of Evil" at some point, yes?

Brief explanation of the "Problem," in case you weren't aware of it, which I imagine you are:
1) God is all-powerful (can do anything).
2) God is all-knowing (knows everything).
3) God is all-loving (wants only the best for His creations)
4) Evil and pain exist.

The problem: If God can do anything, knows everything, and wants only the best for His creations, then by all rights, evil and pain shouldn't exist. Remove any one of those attributes, and that deity is feasible given the current state of reality.

It's an argument that's less against the existence of God, and more against the possibility of the...

Pascal's Wager Posted 15 years ago
One of the most prominent arguments I hear against believing that Christ Jesus is the son of God is that there is no way to prove God exists or that the Bible is true. Furthermore, as the Bible was physically written by multiple men, it seems preposterous to consider the writings inspired by God.

I agree that there is no way for man to prove God's existence. However, there is no way to prove anything else either. I once met a man who convinced me he believed that America had never landed on the moon. He told me of an elaborate plot hatched by the US Government to slow down the footage of a set that was built in Hollywood, making it seem as though the astronauts were moving in lesser gravity. There is no way that I can prove the moon landing happened. I cannot even prove...

Statement of Faith Posted 15 years ago
Whew! Less time than I expected to write this entry.

Before I go any farther, let me clarify what I believe, as Christian is a very broad and encompassing term indeed.

I am a non-denominational Christian. I believe that there is one God, a triune God; God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I believe that God the Son was and is Jesus, the Christ, who willingly died for the sins of the world that all nations might be reconciled to God. I believe the Bible is the word of God. I believe in salvation through faith and by no other means. I believe that faith is more than just words.

I don't believe in the 'seven deadly sins', or saying rosaries to the virgin Mary, nor do I believe the Catholic priesthood has Biblical provisions, I do not...

Introduction:

My name's Tseung. It means 'auspicious' or 'lucky' in English, my father told me. I don't speak the common tongue, so I don't even know if I pronounce it correctly anymore. That's why I go by Lucky.

I'm writing this blog because I realize I fall into an interesting category. Hopefully you're reading this 'cause you've taken an interest in my art. You probably all know that I've got a pretty wide strike zone if you have checked out my gallery. What you may not know is that I am a Christian before anything else.

The reason I started writing this blog was because I read daily the Bible and don't really record or share the insight God gives me. This is WRONG. Especially considering I've got an audience (I hope?) that very few missionaries...
