Some early morning thoughts for you all.

So, Patreon is going well. My page has been up since November and everyone seems pretty happy with the rewards so far. I can only offer so many reward pictures per month, of course, so I've been wondering what to do to make the first tier, which lacks a monthly pic, feel a bit more enticing. For now, though, I'm kinda just getting my head down and working, as I slowly learn how to turn what I do as a hobby into that of a real artist.

Now, obviously, part of my goal with starting a Patreon was to make a bit of money, because of course it was. That was maybe only 20% of the reason, though. The remainder was to fuel my own development as an artist; my speed, quality, and overall productivity. Less time spent staring at a...

What happened to October? Posted 1 year ago
This is going to be a vent post.

Where have I been this month?

Every time October rolls around I end up kicking myself over missing out on drawing Halloween stuff. I usually realise "wait, it's spooky month" halfway through, but this year I went in with a plan. Namely, Applejack and her wish-granting mischief. As you can tell that didn't pan out. I... lost pretty much this entire month because of various reasons, the biggest of which was moving house. That process only took about two weeks, but it began right when I was getting into the groove of coming up with ideas and drawing the next part of that series, so to say it interrupted my flow would be an understatement.

After that came settling in, which meant a lot of nights without enough...

Getting into game design + droney progress Posted 1 year ago
(Don't expect frequent updates on this particular topic, learning this skill takes a lot of time and a ton of trial and error.)

Mainly I just feel like venting, to be honest.

So yeah, I've been trying to get into game making for a long time, but never really found a foothold until I tried the Godot engine. I'll start off by saying that I don't think I'm well suited to this type of creativity. I have a maths-y brain and I do like making lists like any nerd does, but my sense of narrative coordination struggles when I zoom into the small details. Coordinating and interlinking all the nodes and references within the script itself is a real challenge for me, but... I'm inching my way forwards, I hope.

Yes, I do want to make a vore game at some point; a...

I'm back I think! Posted 1 year ago

oh

Putting that to one side, I'm kinda back. 2022 just didn't really happen for me, so I've got another 2021 pixel art thing that I'm refurbishing like the Rarity one, as well as the long-awaited continuation of Strawberry Milk! This next "arc"—yes this has a plot—will see Raricow venturing beyond Ponyville to find more of that wonderful flavour.

Secondly, I've completed a set of sketches for a continuation to Rubber Team: https://aryion.com/g4/view/861260
I'll simply refer to that series as "Rubber Flood" for now. We'll be focusing on what the Mane 6 get up to after being turned, starting with Pinkie Pie.

In general I've been putting some effort into upping my pixel art game, but I've...

February '18 Update Posted 7 years ago
Figure I'll make use of this thing since I'm active on here. I'll use these to provide updates on the state of my current projects and my own motivation and things like that.

I've got a couple of digital pictures in the works right now which may or may not be posted this month, but I also have a bunch of sketches that I'll finish up pretty soon, so look forward to those :)
