I kinda fell out of love with The Guyver once I realized I only really cared about the monster designs, and I'm PRETTY sure a substantial number of people have mistaken me for a dude, just because of the name's general vibe. Zoanoids aren't gender-locked in-lore, but it IS a franchise aimed at boys, so the amount of female zoanoids across every single piece of media can be counted on one hand. The entire Live Feeding series is visible from my front page, and it looks so nice all together, I'm afraid to post anything else, for fear of disrupting it.

I've gotten into the habit of doing super rough, super messy, super-speedy little sketches of shenanigans between OCs of myself and various friends. Most of those are confined into the Discord channels of their conception, but I've gotten to wondering... if I made a folder and started posting some of them into it, would there be an audience for that?

I've gotten asked about this several times now, so I figure I may as well just make a statement on the matter.

We're all familiar with Eel Girl. A short horror film about a fish girl eating a scientist. And yes, I did draw the titular monster and post it here once.

The problem is, the director of said film was rejected by numerous distributors and formed a bit of a reputation because people saw it as a fetish film, rather than a horror short. There is tangible hardship here. And as someone who did fetish art of the character, I had a hand - however small - in that hardship.

This is why I deleted the image. From my gallery, from my hard drive, from my backup hard drive. It does not exist on anything I own. And I VERY MUCH would rather it not be...

Okay, I know I literally just made a post talking about what my name is, and how I want to be addressed, but uh...

Well, long story short, I'm "Lydia" now.

It actually makes me SUPER uncomfortable when people talk like me and Ryla are the same person, or that she's some kind of persona. I would very much like for it to stop.

My name is Casey. I am a writer/artist. Ryla is a character I like to draw and write. She does not, nor has she ever represented me. I honestly have no idea where folks even got that idea - I already have a fursona to represent myself, and they look nothing alike!

When I ask people to stop doing this directly, I tend to get met with confusion, or outright offense. So this is me saying it straight up: If it continues, I'm going to start blocking folks. PLEASE respect my boundaries!

2017 was also the year I began hormone replacement therapy, and as much time as I spent emotionally preparing myself for what kind of psychotic breakdown my brain would go through, I honestly want to say I've been more levelheaded ever since I started. It wasn't until I cut my spiro dose in half that I began to fall back into my usual hypersensitive self, and after recently going back to the original dose, I already feel calmer. I am SERIOUSLY hoping things stay that way, because there's something else I want to change this year; the way I communicate with people here.
