I should write more blogs, they are kind of fun! Blogs seem to have the slight feeling of "why would people care what I think?" So I try to write about more general topics that people like, which is hard to think of! I've actually written out a few, and just decided to not hit submit, because I didn't think it would be something anyone would want to read.

So forget that! I've been gone for a while. I just wanted to make sure people knew I've still been active, watching galleries between work, and popping in the chatroom here and there. Work has me incredibly busy, so I am becoming a rare sight, but I hope everyone has been doing okay in my absence!

It's been a good while since I've posted a blog entry, but in that time there was a gap where I did take a light break from visiting the site (I had been very sick!). Now that I'm back and feeling better, there is indeed a new subject floating about that I feel I should make a blog entry about.

I've been noticing a lot of people who seemed to have a perplexing amount of hatred toward people, not because of the way they act, but because of a certain preference they may have. This seems to happen most often within someones profile (see below) or sometimes, to a degree, even in the chat itself. I certainly will not name anyone, and I will change my examples to be nothing like the actual things I have read, but will make sure they give you the same idea what I am talking about. ...

I want to start off by saying that there are probably tons of things I and many others probably do not enjoy. But right now, I'm mostly focusing on more or less innocent things that for some unknown reason bother me.

I think the first thing that comes to my mind when it comes to pet peeves is something I address in my chat profile. It may be just me, and it may not be a big deal, but I really do not enjoy it when people either approach me with a list, and ask me to pick a name to play with when requesting a roleplay, or, if I say I do not wish to play, they assume it's the character, and start naming off more characters off their lists for me to look at. This is why I have the disclaimer to approach me with the character you wish to play with.

A bit random for today I would say! Let's talk about names! What sort of names do YOU like?

Yeah yeah, it is a bit weird, but I like noun-type names, even if they don't seem very normal. What do I mean? Well, names like Dawn are my favorite, it's both a word, and a name. Something about that just strikes me as cute to a degree I guess. There are other common ones like Pearl or Spike for example, but I sometimes even like when people use other random words that may not initially seem like they work as names, but can be worked out in their own way.

That is just me though, do any of you have an odd interest in names? Let me know!

Also, what names have you seen recently that struck you as interesting, and why?

I'm still not 100% sure what I want to use this for, but for now, I have at least a temporary idea.

I suppose I should start by saying I don't mind getting multiple messages from different people, so don't take it like that, but one thing I find unavoidable, and very repetative is that people tend to ask the same questions, or at least similar ones. Normally this can be solved by just adding those little details to a profile, but when it gets down to things like "Do you like/hate this species?" Or suggesting ideas for scenes, or anything similar, it seems like things that just don't fit too well in a profile.
