IT'S NOT CANCER!!!!!

So, I have a not fun health update today.

Four days ago, I found a growing mass and got it checked out by a doctor today. Due to my family history and the way it looks, there is a very high probability that it's cancer. It could also just be a cyst or benign tumor, but things are unclear right now. I had a biopsy done today, so I should be getting results in a few weeks.

I apologize if this makes me less active here or on Twitter, but I need to start saving my money, just in case the worst happens, but I'll still pay for and post any commissions that aren't finished yet. I'll be active here since this account is my escape in a way, but if I'm not as cheerful or animated as usual, it's nothing personal, and I'm not mad at you.

So…today I learned that my tag for Violet, Juno, and Calico is actually extremely inaccurate. You see, I’ve always called her a queen because she rules over multiple nations….it wasn’t until today that I learned that queens only own one nation. So technically, Violet isn’t a queen, she’s an empress….

GAH I should’ve looked this up earlier before I commissioned tons of artwork that is now tagged “Queen Violet” “Queen Juno” “Queen Calico” I gotta go back and change it all to empress!!! And yes, I know that literally nobody besides me cares, but I’m anal as hell when it comes to historical titles, and it’s gonna bother me forever if I don’t correct my mistake.

I apologize to all the artist that I’m gonna request a tag name change to T^T I will do better next time!

If you check here a lot, you’ll notice I’ve taken down a lot of old work. These pieces are not really bad, but they are extremely outdated, and no longer fit my OCs personalities. I think everyone with an OC knows that the first few drafts of them are often far from what their final products are, and this applies to my OCs as well. I’ve grown a lot as a person since I started posting, and I want to give this account a much needed clean, and update my characters to be the best versions of themselves!

I’m gonna start using this blog as my little soapbox for things too long for a twitter post, or that just doesn’t match the aesthetic. Today’s subject, comments on my writing.

I read every single comment I receive on every piece of art I buy, and every story I write. Favorites are always appreciated, but comments? Those hit different, I’m elated when I read that someone enjoys my characters, and this increases tenfold when it’s on my writing, rather than commissioned art. You see, as corny as it is, I put a lot of time, effort, and energy into creating my three main characters, Violet, Juno, and Calico. Jasmine and Elsie also have a lot of love put into them, but I’ll admit I’ve been neglecting buying art of them, especially Elsie.
