I said I was just coming back and getting back in the saddle. I've gotten a couple of people asking that noticed that I deleted my Deviant Art account and are wondering what happened and the easy answer is nothing happened. I really appreciate all the love and comments I've gotten over there and not to mention here as well. No one in particular did anything to upset me at all, so it's nothing dramatic like that... in fact I kinda hesitate in writing this because I feel like I'm being a little overly dramatic, I'm the first to admit I HATE drama. Life's way too short for that foolishness.

After a bit of hiatus because of work near the top of the new year, I think I'm finding a flow to how things are going and can probably start squeezing in some more drawing time of the sexy kind Only problem is that unfortunately I'm never home so I wont be doing a lot of drawings when I'm back... I need to unwind and relax with the fiancee more now then ever so hopefully she doesn't ditch me for the UPS man or something. Instead I have a few hours every now and again to try and bust out some drawings at the hotels in between work, not ideal by any means but hey I guess a challenge is always welcome.

Sorry I've been neglecting Ekas for so long, just between work and real life I don't have a whole lotta time to post stuff and comment. It's only getting worse unfortunately so I'll be probably quiet for a while again I'll still drop some stuff though every now and again, hopefully things slow down again for me soon and I can get back to drawing more

Sorry I've been lax on posting lately. Work has been killing me lately and I'll most likely disappear the next couple of months because of training I have to go to. If all goes well I'll score a pay raise and hopefully more free drawing time! Only time will tell.

If you want a commission done, I will still accept them, but unfortunately it might be a little wait as I won't know how much time I'll have exactly to work on it while I'm in training.

This blog kinda lacks the typical bloginess that blogs tend to contain. I thought maybe chatting about why I started drawing might be something to ramble about.
I picked up drawing kind of at random, one day I decided I’m going to learn how to draw people. It was always something I wanted to be able to do, so I got a few books on the subject and bout a pencil set and a sketch pad that was on sale and went at it. Eventually some of the stuff that I was practicing started to stick and I really started getting into actually “seeing” the human form. A little background to this, I’ve been a commercial photographer on the side for years but drawing really gave me an appreciation for the human body that I’d missed before. There are many more to come down the road stay tuned! I've even collaborated with Suibelly on a couple of fantastic commissions already! I'm actually still very new to drawing and I really appreciate the opportunity to build a little confidence in my work.
