Story Prompt Posted 7 years ago
So I have a snippit in my head that I don't know what to do with (so much potential from so many different directions). So I'll put it here so others can look at it, ignore it, or whatever.

Also, hi! I haven't posted a blog in three years. I'm completely unreliable! Anyway, here's the snippit:

"It would take the media four days to connect the two. First was the rash of disappearances among the city's elderly population- women and men over 65 were vanishing from their homes over a weekend. Second was the sudden influx of panicked teenage pregnancies- random teens waking up Monday morning to find themselves 35 weeks pregnant- some with twins!"

...and GO!
...where I cry over lost stories. Posted 11 years ago
So, there was a horroresque story I made several years ago, entitled "...in Hell" in which a woman wakes up in strange purgatory- naked, covered in muck and ash, and completely scared. And next to a dead body that's been ripped open from the inside out. She remembers a demon molesting a coworker, turning on her... and then she hears it scream. She runs through the ashen, superhot realm/purgatory/cave trying to get away and cutting herself on stones and such mixed in the ashes, only to find that it had already impregnated her, and it's spawn was growing quickly inside her.

I won't spoil the ending for those who haven't read the story- it had a twist.
Unfortunately, I no longer own a copy. And all of the websites that I knew had it are gone now. Which is...

Story Blitz Week 3 Posted 12 years ago
So. this is the Alternate entry for week 3, as my original story, I realized to my horror, had a gaping hole in it. Seriously, had I taken the time to read what I'd written all at once, I wouldn't have had a clue how I got to the conclusion that I did. I don't expct you would either. So, Primary entry #3 is shelved for further review. Week 9 entry used instead- a continuation of the Todd story! I wanted to do more on that one, too- but my brain had me doing other things. Like trying to fix Primary #3. You'll probably see that one in a few weeks.

Anyone else ever have that problem, where you really want to work on one thing, but your brain really wants you to work on something else? Or is that just me?
Story Blitz 2013 Week 2 Posted 12 years ago
Well, I've finally got this week's story up! My internet was being a brat on Monday, and I honestly forgot about it Tuesday. Hope it doesn't suck too bad. It does have the benefit of being twice as long as the previous entry. Hope you enjoy it. Or hate it. As long as you tell me about it. :)
Shh! Story Blitz 2013 Posted 12 years ago
This has been on my mind for a while now (a few years, at least), but I've never had the gumption to actually do it. Well, now that I know the Mayans were wrong and I will have to pay my rent next month, I figured I might as well celebrate.
So, here's the deal-
I plan to release a new story every week in 2013 here at Eka's Portal. Some might be standalone scenes, others might be part of one or more ongoing series. All will be pregnancy/unbirth related, though it might not be the focal point of the story. I am NOT promising complete ideas, with plot twists, well-developed storylines, and the like. Some might not be anything more than one of the myriad scenes I have cluttering up my hard drive (and my mind). I will try to make them all decent enough to comment on. ...

Pregnancy in Roleplaying Games Posted 12 years ago
As a DM of over 18 years (AD&D 2nd Edition, now heavily mixed with HackMaster 4th Edition and gobs of house rules), I have found myself more than once slipping tidbits of pregnancy fetish into my game. The Unlawful Carnal Guide from years (decades!) ago helped, as did my alternative chart for pregnancy and fertility in the various races. Some campaigns were subtle, manifesting over time, while others were blatant and blunt:

A new PC race, the florids, included an 88 page book I wrote detailing their culture, history, physiology, new kits, and the like. Of course, there was almost a whole chapter on pregnancy and birth- florids get pregnant in the conventional way, and go through a pregnancy that lasts between 6 months and five years. During this time, their abdomens...

When Murphey Attacks Posted 14 years ago
I keep multiple copies of my work. In addition to my laptop, I have an 8GB flashdrive, and I also have two copies of (old) versions on my (not currently running) desktop.
So. I was working on a non-related project the other day that required me to hook up my flashdrive, and it was at the exact moment that I had it fully plugged in that a semi truck blasted its horn right in front of my house. I jumped, of course. The laptop fell off of my lap, of course.
Right onto the flashdrive. There was a loud CRACK! and a quick spark from the machine, and it went dark.
My flash drive- snapped. Useless. Everything on it, gone.
My laptop USB ports- broken. Useless. While the machine still boots, it restarts before Windows can finish reloading. Everything on it,...

'Pick Me!' Posted 14 years ago
It took me a year to complete what I'd hoped would only take a month- The Carrier: New App. It took me a decade to get around to starting it in the first place. I have other stories- other ideas that sit on my computer and cry out for attention. I like to tell stories- I like the responses I get from people who read them. However, many of the story ideas that I manage to get out of my head go onto the computer and just sit there, forgotten. Why?
Because my mind has already moved on. I have ADD, and sometimes, I lose interest. Umberth College at Writing.com is an example- I have more story to tell there, but my mind refuses to get back to the story.
Sometimes, I've already taken the story to where I wanted it to go. Todd is a good example there- I...
